    Payment Processors

This is likely a dumb question but are the only payment processors available the ones on the Miva site? In other words does it require a custom module made specifically for the service or is there a generic one if I wanted to say try Helcim https://www.helcim.com/us/ or some other one not listed on the Miva site?

    Re: Payment Processors

Payment Processors and Gateways are actually two separate things.

The only gateways (that come native) with Miva are the ones on our site/in the software.

    Authorize.net
    Chase Orbital
    First Data Global Gateway
    PayFlow (Link and Pro)
    Intuit (formerly QuickBooks)
    Cybersource

Plus the various PayPal and Amazon products (those are combo merchant account and gateway products).

So while we don't have anything built for Helcim (this is the first I've heard of them) they likely support one of those gateways (most likely Authorize.net) or at a minimum have an Authorize.net emulator you can use.

If they don't have one of those things, then yes a custom gateway module would be required.

Thanks Rick. I sent them an email to find out. I hadn't heard of them either but in reading reviews like this http://www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/helcim-review/ (which seems relatively fair to all products reviewed) and browsing user forums they got very high grades from everyone.

        Re: Payment Processors

Hi Rick. A follow up question, which will again reveal my lack of knowledge.

I spoke to Nicolas at Helcim (cool when the founder answers your questions :) ) and gave him the gateway info you provided he said the following:

        ------------------------
Thanks for the information. It is possible to have a seamless integration with the shopping cart, but since it is not directly integrated with us you will need the following:

        • We would provide you a merchant-account only package at $15/month (this will give you access to our low processing rates)
        • You would need to sign up for an Authorize.NET gateway-only account for $25/month (this will give you a gateway and integration to the shopping cart):
          https://www.authorize.net/solutions/...pricing/?p=gwo

        -------------------------

So when you sign up for a gateway, you provide them (i.e. Authorize.NET) with your processor info (i.e. Helcim) and all I would have to do is connect my Authorize.NET account to Miva to get access to my Helcim rates?

        Thanks.
