Not sure whats happening but we need some help figuring out a bug in our checkout. Sometimes PayPal will work and sometimes it will not. When it doesnt work, it simply wont redirect to the PayPal site, it will flash blank really fast then take you back to the last step at checkout and revert to American Express as the payment form. Usually it works in Firefox, but in IE its 50/50. IE 8 & IE9 have issues. Not sure if its something with the module but I cant find any updates and have no idea how to check and see if its the latest version or not. Can I hire someone to help take a look and fix this problem?

Do you have a coupon module installed? If yes, try to redeem a coupon and then use PayPal as payment method ... it never goes to PayPal in this case but reverts back to the payment page.

The paypal module you are using is not submitting the coupon data as a discount to paypal. Paypal sees a discount and does not understand what to do with it. The problem is that Miva checkout isnt redirecting to paypal at all (intermittently) even when a coupon isnt applied. It simply reverts back to the payment page and has American express selected as the default payment. Any help? where can I find updates to the paypal modules in Miva?

Anyone still having customer reports of this issue? I don't have any coupon modules but a customer over the last couple days has ordered each day via paypal with no issues. Today it was doing this to her. Sending her back with American Express chosen. This is not the first report of this. Actually had reports on and off for couple years.

We had a customer say that Paypal.com would not let them pay. I tried it this morning and it worked. Thinking I needed instructions for the customer, I tried it again. It wouldn't work then. I click on continue and it just rewrites the page, over and over. I called Paypal and they said there was no errors in the log. Seriously? He said I just needed to delete my cookies and try again. I did it and was able to place two orders in a row. However, this is no solution as the customer is not going to delete cookies and their basket, so that they can try again. I was using the Paypal Express buttons and am now not. Hopefully, if it kicks the customer back they will choose to pay with a credit card.Thank you,

They got to Paypal.com. Logged in. Hit continue. It would not continue, just like I experienced this morning. Clicking continue just returns you to the same page. It worked for the Paypal.com tech, so he figured there was no problem. Total BS in my book. I am guessing there is no error because it just reloads the page which does not cause an error.Thank you,

So, we can repeat this problem now with Safari. Miva Tech support was also able to repeat it on Friday. It is not on all computers with safari. I have personally made it happen on an iPad, an apple tablet, at windows 7 laptop, a windows Vista Laptop, and a Vista Desktop. The Miva tech could get the error on one of the two active computers they were using. We can also make the problem happen with Firefox.
The problem seems to be primarily with Safari, but a guy on the forum says he is having trouble with Chrome as well.
The problem is:
- Add something to basket
- Checkout
- Select Paypal as the payment option.
- Click on Continue
- You are returned to the Customer information screen.
We have also had customers saying they had the problem with credit card payments.Thank you,
