    WP Fraud Screening Mod

I was introduced to the WP Fraud Screening mod through the Miva Rewards program. One needs to sign up for the MaxMind license key as well which I did. The mod will not accept the key issued by MaxMind thereby not allowing me to access the settings. Has anyone else had this situation? I approached it through MaxMind initially - they had me run a sample query online to see if it was functioning even though I had not entered the license key in the mod, and from their perspective indications were that it seemed to be functioning. The error I'm receiving when trying to enter the key is: "License not accepted. Product code mismatch. The license you are using does not appear to be for this product. Product version mismatch. The mod is not the correct version for this installation. License not in license database."

I haven't yet installed this module, but is the error message you are receiving referencing the module's license key (which you should receive by email) or the Maxmind key?

Hi Paul. I'm not sure which it is referencing but I am pulling the license key from the MaxMind site.

Did you enter the module's license key anywhere?

I just realized the error of my ways. I obviously was using the wrong key. I have since used the key from WP and it took, and I also see that you have to use the MaxMind key as well once you get into the settings of the mod.

One is a license to use the module in your store. The one from Maxmind authorizes you to use their service.

                Hi Tim:

I'm pretty sure the module references the step-by-step instructions on our website complete with glossy pictures and arrows. Takes you through the module install process using the Miva Central license key and then the configuration process where you enter the MaxMind license key. The install instructions are at:

                http://wpcomp.com/miva_modules/wp_antifraud

One special note: We've found cases in which the MaxMind API version has been left blank when folks setup their MaxMind account. Then the MaxMind queries fail. Please make sure you have a MaxMind API version selected. You should use API version 1.3 although the module will work fine with API versions 1.1 and 1.2.

                Regards, Jeff Koch
