    Inventory kits and disounting

    Hello all,

    A vexing problem.
We like to create sets of products and offer a small discount for buying the whole set all at once.
With inventory kits we can create sets and the price can be
    a) Some arbitrary price
    b) Sum of parts

Is it possible to arrive at a price which is equal to the sum of price of the parts less a percent discount?

    We have Emporium's toolkit.

    Thanks
    Sam

Can't you use the Arbitrary Price to do that?
    Thanks,

      Rick,

      Thanks for looking into this.
Using an arbitrary price is good for ONE Time.
If the prices of the components change, then the price of the kit needs to change accordingly.
We could still do it manually like we do now, but it is prone to error. We have some items that we found had component prices form 1.5 years ago and were underpriced....and so on.

In a related question - if the prices of the components change, I am assuming one has to go to every kit and refresh it. Is it possible to refresh all kits at once? Is it possible to find which kits a certain component contributes to?

      Thanks very much.
Rick, I would like to have a short conversation with you about a couple of ideas - can you send me a pm when convenient?
