    javascript error tool

I have been trying to ferret out errors that a store owner says her Clicktale console is reporting. I've looking at the pages using Firebug and even used the developer tools in Internet Explorer. I can't find these errors. Are there other tools out there I can try?

    Thanks,
    Leslie

I use the built ones in Chrome...but I find that none of the aforementioned ones, nor Chrome are all that helpful unless you spend quite a bit of time with them. I just like the layout in Chrome better. Easier to look through. Do you have a pubic URL we can look at?

My version of Chrome has Firebug Lite in it, but I see what you are referring to when it will take time to understand the power of the Developer Tools in Chrome:

I've found Chrome's built-in console to be a little more reliable than Firebug. Just hit F12 and look in the bottom right. If there are any red or yellow JS errors they will be clickable there. The page you linked has 2 javascript errors for me - it looks like there is a conflict between Clicktale and Google Ads.

          Hi Kyle,

Thanks. I'm assuming that's F12 on a PC? Do you know what it is on a Mac?

            Hey Leslie,

According to this page it looks like it's Cmd+Opt+I

Ahhh yes, that's what I see when I right click and select Inspect Elements. I've had the power all along.

Still going to need to see what this tool does on an PC, I think I may have an issue with something in my Chrome. I keep getting this messaga when I try to look at things in the Tools screens:

Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

What is ClickTale reporting? We don't use ClickTale so I'm not familiar with their console, but does it give you anything to go on other than the page that reported an error?
