Incontext checkout not working

    Incontext checkout not working

    PayPal Express incontext checkout is no longer working, and the BillMeLater fix doesn't seem to be working either. I've checked at least 5 Miva sites and they don't work on any of them. Is this a known issue, or is there something we need to adjust on our end to make this happen?

    Leanne it's not a known issue and you shouldn't need to do anything. Can you post or email me the sample sites and paypal will look at them.

        Make sure that the basket page is being loaded with HTTPS. Shortly after we implemented that feature, PayPal began requiring an HTTPS referer for in-context to work properly.

            Yeap same thing here. Appears to be all 3 of my sites.

            EDIT - Leanne, I am thinking this is why you tried to email me, sorry box was full. Thank you as that lead me to look at this.

              Make sure all forms and links which go to the basket page send you to a secure (HTTPS) version of the BASK page.

              In your case, Dan, I noticed that your add to basket forms go to a non-secure BASK. Changing the URL manually from HTTP to HTTPS allows in-context to work as expected. The form probably has an action including &mvt:global:sessionurl;, just change that to &mvt:global:secure_sessionurl;. If the link or form action in question instead goes to a relative link like /BASK.html, you'll need to use a full path with https such as "https://&mvt:global:domain:name;/BASK.html".

                That seemed to do the trick Kyle thank you. Took awhile as I have so many templates.... If you have a sec to confirm its working as should be that would be awesome.

                  I just checked my clients site and its stopped working there. What do I need to do to get it back up running?

                      You need to set up all add to cart forms and your links to the basket to be secure (&mvt:global:secure_sessionurl; instead of &mvt:global:sessionurl;)

                        Thats not the issue on this site. All of the links have a secure session . It must be something else.

                            its been working for weeks. It's just paypal express with in context, no bill me later. It inexplicably stopped working. All links are https and no one changed the setup or the template code.

                              Please open a ticket with support and include a link to this forum post. Email support @ [email protected] with subject 'In context checkout not working'.
