Need cloud based order management solution

I'm looking for suggestions for a cloud based order management solution for a rapidly growing, online only Miva site. They've quickly out grown Miva's order management capabilities. I've always liked Stone Edge, but they don't have a cloud solution.

I emailed 4psite.com but didn't hear back. Has anyone used them?

    Other suggestions?

Any particular reason why it has to be cloud based?
    Thank you, Bill Davis

That's what the client thinks they need/wants.

        Haw haw!
Those are the requirements that you get when the client thinks they have some technical knowledge. My wife and I are long time programmers, this gave us both a laugh. so typical.

My client doesn't think she has any technical knowledge, she just wants to be able to access the order management system from more than one location, like when traveling or working from home. Is there a reason why that's not a good idea?

What specifically does the built in Miva functionality not do that they require (since that is cloud based)? This will help me (and likely others) give you some guidance.

Miva might be able to do some of the following but I think you'll get the idea...

              1) Limited CRM. From an order you can send templated emails but you can't really have a conversation with the customer if it is beyond the scope of the email templates.
              2) There's no way to flag orders that need special attention
              3) No product return/exchange capabilities
              4) Back orders need to be filled manually, one at a time. Batch and/or automation needed.
              5) Can't search for an order by customer name (only order# or email)
              6) Inventory in not returned to the store when a cart expires. Why not?! This can really create a problem for high traffic sites. (We use the Restock Shelves module, but this should be part of the core Miva.)
              7) Need a way to accept returns and use the returned product to fulfill the oldest back order for that item/size combo

And that's just a synopsis. In a nutshell, back order management and CRM are important and some additional automation is needed.

              Thanks for any comments!

                Guy,

Great list, all of these things are coming in the next 12 - 18 months for what it's worth.
                Thanks,
