    GD Google Trusted Stores

We are very proud to announce the official release of GD Google Trusted Stores for Miva Merchant, now available at Here. The Glendale Designs team is extremely excited with the release of this module because a lot of planning and hard work went into it's development. It also marks our entry into the Miva Merchant retail module market and our continued commitment to the Miva Merchant shopping cart platform/community.

We here at Glendale Designs believe strongly in quality products and support. There is a rock solid team behind everything we do, and hope that you find that reflected in our offerings.

Much appreciated Mark! I have to say your store had some extenuating circumstances with Shipworks not reporting the date stamp back properly and 3rd party module whitespace issues, but your patience in allowing us to work those items through will make the module, documentation and installation process better for future users. Our team worked extremely hard on that module as Google Trusted Stores is somewhat complex out of the gate. As a result, we take a lot of pride in stores getting that seal with the use of our module.

          Thanks again.

            Re: GD Google Trusted Stores

To any Trusted Stores users following this thread, we have released an update (5.036) to support the recent changes announced by Google:

            - Shipping and cancellation feeds are no longer required. (they are basing everything solely on reviews at this point)
            - Badge code update to support secure page display and badge position.

            New Overview: https://support.google.com/trustedst...standards&rd=1
            Guidelines: https://support.google.com/trustedst...answer/6063058

If you have an approved badge, you are eligible to setup review ad extensions in Adwords and Google Shopping.

To obtain the upgrade, simply go into the module admin panel under Utilities in the Miva admin and click on the "Update Available" link.

              Hello

Installed the module and entered into the 30 day review period.
But testing still gives me the below error message and I am at a loss on how or where to fix this in the module

Optional: Google Shopping Item ID is missing
How to Fix: Provide the Google Shopping Item ID in the “google_base_offer_id” field of the Google Trusted Stores JavaScript code.
This is a recommended but optional field. This field does not affect core functionality, and leaving this warning unresolved will not prevent you from entering the monitoring period. However, merchants using Google Shopping should correct these errors to ensure proper integration. This integration will allow Google to more easily correlate specific products to data that you have provided in connection with Google Trusted Stores. If you see this error on a non-product page or if you have chosen to leave out this field, you may disregard this warning.

Google's use of the word "warning" is a little over the top in this case. Basically they are saying that the product id is not being passed on non-product pages, which has no bearing on your store being approved. Unfortately there is no way around it, if you were to strip out all reference to Google Shopping in the badge code it actually flags even more "optional" warnings.

Warnings on common pages or confirmation pages
These are non-critical errors found in optional fields in the Google Trusted Stores badge code. These errors do not affect core functionality; you can safely ignore these warnings as they triggered by optional variables.
If you see this non-critical error on a non-product page or if you have chosen to leave out this field, you may disregard this warning.

Has this been updated for MM9? Did you add the ability to included the Google Shopping Item ID?

The module has always passed the Google Shopping Item ID when appropriate. Not aware of any issue with MM9, but if you have run up against something, let us know.
