    Facebook Targeting with Emails

Interesting blog post at http://www.nordicclick.com/blog/new-...rgeting-means/ Has anybody tried this out?

I got to thinking how easy it would be to grab a unique email list from completed orders for any order number range and for a specific product code or string within a product code. Using the report feature "Product in Orders Search" in the Tool Kit Utilities, you can export a list of unique email addresses. It conveniently strips multiples of the same email address so the exported email address list contains unique email addresses and duplicates are dropped. The onscreen list contains all records, but the export file has unique addresses.

Then you can use the list for the Facebook targeting. Seems like it would only be useful for those email addresses which had been used with a Facebook account. Useful or not useful?

Thanks -- very useful. Facebook has never been useful for anything but brand building and name recognition for us. This changes things. Especially among our non-B2B customers.

    Fascinating. Really.

      Re: Facebook Targeting with Emails

Much of our business comes from Government Agencies where the staff are barred from using their work email address to access Facebook. For non-public sector customers I could see the possilbilities of Facebook Audience targeting. However, with Facebook's throttling of views of posts from our business page I'm not super inclined to make an investment with them.
