I am at a cross road regarding Product Categories

I am creating a custom store for a client that sells maps. http://ravenmaps.mivamerchant.net/. Per the home page you can see the maps are divided into four sections. They are custom coded and link to a particular page yet to be created ( see attached image 'map-category.jpg' ), which is the page layout for the 'U.S. States' ( they are not 'categories' as created in Miva Merchant ). My question ( now that I am getting into Miva Merchant ) is should I link the home page 'sections' to a 'category' ( I saw a hard coded link ) or actually put the categories on the home page in lieu of what is there now. The images need to stay. I am in a state of confusion at the moment.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Hello Doak,

I would make them into categories and link them on the homepage. You shouldn't need to change anything about the images on the home page, Just the urls.

Please let me know if you gave any questions or issues.

Thanks, I was hoping you would say that. Is this how you would do it if you were starting from scratch?
