    Re: Order Cancelled Email

You can use them together, but be careful not to accidentally send duplicate emails.

        Re: Order Cancelled Email

So I did as suggested, went to the order, didn't cancel it first but instead selected the "cancelled" email I created (which does include the product template) and it's still not including the order info. I tried using the template for both a Pending and Processing order - no product info. I'm going to start over with a new template to see if that makes a difference.

          Re: Order Cancelled Email

It doesn't seem to matter which template I copy and past into my "cancelled" email - it is not including the order info.

            Re: Order Cancelled Email

            Hi Leslie:

did you remember to go to the items tab for the new email template and check the appropriate items?

Look at the order confirmation email (the default one), then go to the items tab and make and make a note of which items are checked.

            I hope this helps.

Yeah, the "order" item is checked.

Were you able to confirm that the variables you're trying to show are available?

                  Re: Order Cancelled Email

Well, considering there isn't any "cancel" email and I created one from the Customer notification couple that with sending it before the order is actually cancelled - it is indeed a mystery. I had thought that sending the email after canceling the order was causing the product info to not be displayed. So I went back and tried it with an order than was still pending, it gave the same results. If I go back and resend that same order with the Customer notification template - it works just fine.

I'm going to go look at the notification settings, maybe I missed something there.

                    Re: Order Cancelled Email

Even custom pages (which is what the Emails are) have var lists (first of 3 icons, upper right corner of page tab display).

It would show you what is available to your present configuration.

                      Re: Order Cancelled Email

Yup, but you do have to assign it to the page first. And it's exactly the same variables that are in the Customer Confirmation email. I even checked it using the order # I'm testing with. Data gets pulled...

                        Hello All,

Two years later and a few versions later, I don't think we're seeing this feature. It has just come up with a client and I jumped under the hood to see what's what.

Ironically, there's a trigger for when a Subscription cancels, but not when an Order cancels.

Earlier messages in this thread indicate that this was going to be included in a future release but I don't see it. Ideally, the feature should be for when a Product is cancelled from an Order.

Any news on this, Brennan or Rick?

                        cheers,
                        Michael

This is still on our list of features to tackle. However you can have a cancelled email you trigger manually by just creating a new email template. The only part that is missing is the automatic trigger which we have plans to add.
