    Making Miva 5.5 Site Responsive

We have been a Miva Store (DrapeStyle.com) since 2002, currently on 5.5 PR 8. We'd like to make our Site more "Responsive" to accommodate our increasing iPad / Mobile Traffic.

Any way to do this without a complete CSSUI rebuild?

    Please let me know,

    Thanks

We managed to take a CSSUI site of one of our clients and turn it into responsive design without recoding the entire site. So it is doable and takes about 3 days.

The result is like a bootstrap site but without applying the bootstrap framework. Let me know if you are interested in further details.

BTW Changes are 90% applied thru CSS and not changes in the templates.

I've used both the Bootstrap and the features found in the ToolKit. Toolkit was very quick to implement but not truly responsive. The decision as to which one to pick depended upon what the client's goals where and the current state of their site.

Not sure what you mean Michael. Toolkit doesn't make the site responsive but extends the limited template language (SMT). The Bootstrap framework is a easy way to get a responsive site but it is only the base like the CSSUI framework.

Okay! I was just wondering why you are comparing bootstrap with toolkit when the goal is a responsive website. Bootstrap framework provides a basic responsive website. Toolkit is a language extension. I'm repeating myself maybe because it is past 6pm <grin>
