Flat File - Uploading multiple images and design help

Hello. I have been using Miva for awhile now and I am looking for some help. First of all. I am really a store-owner, playing the role of website designer; I am a novice. I currently have a website that gets okay traffic and business, and an eBay store that we do a lot of business with. We tend to concentrate on the eBay sales and neglect our website. But I am trying to change that.

Right now, I trying to find a way to sync inventory FROM an eBay store. I am familiar with miva's flat file upload and have had success with that. I can get an eBay API to create a workable flat file (ie. product name, category, description, price, images, etc); however, I am not sure how one would upload a flat-data file with multiple product image? Keep in mind that our products are one-of-a-kind.

    Thank you for the replies-Erick

Re: Flat File - Uploading multiple images and design help

    Hi Eric -

When you say multiple product images I assume you mean the "Additional Images" functionality built into Miva? If so, this can be done through image types. You need to create an image type for each additional image you would like. Then under utilities you need to turn on "Product Image Custom Fields". This is what allows image types to be added to the standard product export (and import)

It is also worth mentioning that we have a built in integration with ebay where you can setup all your inventory in Miva and easily create ebay listings based off your Miva products. This integration will automatically send up your additional images as well as the rest of the product data.

When an item sells on ebay you can import the order back into Miva to do the fulfillment from the Miva admin. If you are not already using this, I would check it out as it should streamline managing products and keeping everything in sync.

      Brennan-

thank you. I have been using ADS ImageExtra and noticed that Miva now can add multiple images; however, I haven't been able to get it work. Is there some coding that needs to integrated into the layout? Also I probably have a ton of questions about other stuff I would like to do, can you point me to a couple people (for hire) that can help me with my design and general Miva questions.
      Thanks,
      Erick

        Hi Erick,

Yes there are a few things that will need to be added to make the Image Machine function for you. There are some great integrators that hang out here on the forums. Since you are new here your first 3 posts will be moderated so you'll need to post an email that people can reach out to you at or post back to this (I think that will put you at 3).

If you need any help feel free to drop me a line.
