Follow-on module test mode

I changed my HTML email for the follow-on email body
I wanted to test it, send it to myself before making live etc

I see the check box for test-mode and I understand I can change the SendAfterDays field to 0 or -1 (and then enter a test order, and I'll receive the email myself).

My question is this. If I change to 0 or -1, will it instantly send out/flush out all the pending emails since I changed the send date to 0 or -1? (Which is really what I don't want to have happen since I'm testing and I want to look at the new email first)

Thanks for reply; do you know any way, once you've been running Follow-on for a while, to test a new HTML mail without flushing?

no. Just put it in test mode and leave the number of days as it was originally. You'll get a batch of emails that were actually due sent to your email address instead of a customer. Essentially you'll only lose a day's worth the followon emails for the customers. Unless every email is critical that should work fine.
