    Local Dev Site Setup

Hey Guys, Its been awhile since I have been on the forums, but I am interested in setting up a local dev site to play with the new frameworks. I downloaded the Miva Mia and installed it, but I do not see how to get a copy of a default store? Any ideas? Sorry if this is the wrong sub forum.

    Thanks,
    Marshall

Did you download the 5.5 eBook? That covers the basics of using Miva Mia. I believe there's Miva Mia specific docs on the site somewhere as well.

Nope I didn't. I am out of the loop on so many things. Is there a page with info on getting the PR9 Beta? I feel that it what I should really be working on in my local site.

      Thanks,

Contact Rick or Brennan. It is available to Developers.

You will also need something to run MySQL locally. As an alternative, you can request a "developer" store here:

Thanks, I have a dev site already, I just would like to work locally, its a little faster for me. I have a WAMP server running for my other projects, and just installed miva mia. I am new to mia and just need to figure out the config.

Pamela - Do you have a link to the ebook, I have not found anything like that on the miva doc page.

              Re: Local Dev Site Setup

The developer access to v9 Beta 3 is totally different - it's not housed on your server, so it comes with separate access that would need to be approved.

You can also get a totally free hosted Dev site.

Go to www.mivamerchant.com/videos and click Developers, then click Create Development Store.
