Re: v9 release and the Non-Compliance Fee

So has an official hard date been announced for the "Non Compliance Fee" for stores not upgraded to the v9 release of Miva Merchant? I need to mark my calender. TIA

Yes what is the deadline?... i was going to update yesterday, yet i forgot the wolf paw fraud mod needed a number change. Following the instructions, i did not see the field that listed 5 to change to 9. So i took screen shot and fired in a ticket on that with a few other concerns.

Re: v9 release and the Non-Compliance Fee

The deadline is actually conceptually hard set (from the original announcement).

It's 30 days on a security release (which this is not and we've [knock on wood] never had to issue one).

And it's 90 days for a General Software release (this exactly mimics the PCI-DSS rules for keeping your software up to date).

So Version 9's NCF date is February 12, 2015.

            Hello Rick,

Ok, just say this post, we thought we had until March 1ist, so by the 15th of February. Since we have 4 websites plus 5 dev sites. When will miva release that 9.0001 with the bug fixes. On the couple of miva 9 dev sites only one was fixed with a trouble ticket, something about custom fields. Miva Support said the update will fix this automatically, not to mention a few other issues that makes it hard to work on so many websites at once. Will it be released soon or should I submit 8 support tickets. We don't want to be hit with all these compliance fees, since most of our sites are still on M5.5

            Thanks

                  Hey Rick,

I though updates were automatic. Maybe my interpretation of automatic is different. my system says 9.000. So how do I update it.

                  Thanks

You should see a red box up top that says Updates Available. Click that. If you don't, then email me and I'll get support to find out why you don't see it.
                    Thanks,

                      Hey Rick,

Wow, no it doesn't, I looked at one of the others at that one did but not the automotiveworkwear.com one.

I will send support and email and start a ticket. Thanks

                        Rick,

I fixed it, I tried changing the Domain Settings>Upgrade Settings from Weekly to At every Login. Logged out, then logged back in and there it was. Thanks, I would have been waiting to the end of time most likely. Thanks

Does the non compliance fee include the doubling of the seat licenses too?

I don't understand the question? The NCF fee is separate from the Seats.
                            Thanks,

The non compliance fee just doubles your current license fee correct. It doesn't also double the cost of any additional seats you have too does it?

No, the NCF varies depending on where you're hosted but is usually $50 a month. It's only purpose is an economic incentive to upgrade and stay within the bounds of PCI Compliance.

As long as you stay running the latest version within 90 days of release you won't be billed the NCF.
                                Thanks,
