Where is Copy & Paste feature for adding Additional Images in Edit Product

In MM5.5 you used to be able to copy and past the image path, make a slight change, hit enter, and bam your extra image is added. However for the life of me I cannot find out where to do this at in version 9.

I DO NOT want to use the upload feature as 1) its to time consuming, 2) puts the images in wrong directory, and 3) I already have all the images loaded to my dev site. I just need to be able to copy and paste.

How can this easily be done in version 9? If it can't I would like to request that it be re-added as it makes life very simple with multiple images.
    Sincerely,

If you use image types you can have the image path show on the catalog screen and paste it there which is great. I do know what your talking about though and think it would be nice to have that feature back.

Are you doing this for variant swapping or completely different products?

Not sure what you mean so I have included images. Old way Old-Way.jpgand the non working new wayNew-Way.jpg.

When you paste and try to search/add the image in Beta 3 it won't locate or add an image. Hope that helps some.

I believe that has been removed currently or at least I couldn't figure it out either.
However as long as you use image types for each additional images you can do it on the catalog page before editing a product at all.

          Mark,

Yea that's not going to work as I don't need, nor do I want to use image types for the additional images. It would be nice if Miva chimed in on why this ease of use feature has been removed.

This is the first this came to our attention, I'm talking to Dev about it today.

I see what you are referring to, yeah no ability to just enter the image path, only the ability to upload or choose from existing images. Question - if all the images are already on the server, would they show up in the Image List? If so, then you should be able to search for them BUT that is still one too many steps from the ability to enter in a path.

I'm going to have to assume that the ability to assign the paths via an import file is still available? (Sorry, I am behind on my testing).

                  Leslie,

No ma'am unfortunately they do not show up in the image list and I can find no way to upload additional images via a flat file import either.

You can definitely do them via Flat File Import (but you have to use Image Types to do that).
                    Thanks,

                      Rick,

That would explain why I can't get it to import.
