htaccess Redirects and Google Analytics - SEO Guru Help

I just redesigned my site with bootstrap. The new site is completely https where as the old site was http.
I'm wondering if I need to add a new property in google analytics for the https site or will google continue to monitor it properly through the 301 redirect? Should I delete the old properties and start fresh?

    Thank You

It should continue tracking out of the gate, however I would recommend changing any property settings from http to https. Starting over with a new property would make it difficult to compare against historical data. If the new site is live, you can verify it is tracking under Real-Time.
