But wouldn't you have to edit each products "allowed" shipping methods if you switch to the built-in module? Right now, when on the Edit Product page there is a "CBS - Shipping SuperMod" tab where you select which shipping methods are allowed for that particular product.

Yes that's correct. We bit the bullet and started from scratch. I have plans to export the product database and add new shipping permissions. It appears the Import feature of miva is broken today (New Import with MM9.00001).

Can you explain what import feature is broken in 9.0001? (9.0002 is now available too).

Check out my support ticket UAR-664-36585. I'm having trouble making a new import product data map.

FYI, doesn't appear just anyone has access to your support tickets. As I am needing to help some clients do massive product imports. Your details may not apply so I am curious.

            Thanks.

There's a known bug with product imports. It only applies to tab delimited. Switch to comma or semicolon and you should be ok.

Ouch, I only use tab delimited because I've had so many problems with comma. But I prefer pipe - it seems to cause less of a problem.

                  Re: module compatability

Miva's new import/export features available in 5.5/M9 are much more reliable all around, even when using commas, as they rely on true CSV format. (this is different than simple tab or character delimited text files produced by legacy export features and/or the Template Data Feed module) I would not recommend using tab delimited with the new CSV export features, just asking for trouble there.

                    Re: module compatability

I've been using tab with MM5 for quite some time, no issues. I use OpenOffice - it has created much more reliable files that MS Office ever did. I won't use tab with MM9 until the all clear has been given.

Leslie, are you using the legacy import/export or the new stuff in 5.5?

I'm using the new method that was introduced with MM5.5.

What are the details of the issues with using TAB delimited in Miva9? I've used and seem to not have an issue.

Actually, it is with CDF that I am having an inconsistency. For the Product Name field, Quotes are getting inserted. But, I actually haven't tracked that down to the CDF export in Libre Office or the Product Import.

BTW: I am not clear as to what the "new" way of importing introduced in MM5.5 was.

                            Thanks,

This parse error is giving me diabetes:

Parse Error: Input error, got quote inside non-quoted field

Why can't we just have quotes?
