ReadyTheme version number

Now that the ReadyThemes are available in the app store, would it be possible to include the version number? It helps to know what the most recent version is.

Hi Leslie -

We'll look at adding a version number. One trick is you can re-download the latest version just by clicking the download link from your original order. No need to "buy" the them again.

Also, right now we track releases by date and the release notes can be found on the github repository in the Changelog file:

So out of curiosity...

If there is a ready theme update to a theme we are already using, we will basically have to download it and then reinstall all of our customizations?

The better way is going to be to manually make any changes we make so you don't have to start from scratch. Think of it as the same process when the software templates change.

OK, I think i get it.

So basically the template updtes will be listed on the forum and then we just need to plug in the changes., right?

Correct. Hopefully there should not be too many. Since these are new, we're fixing some bugs, but over time the updates should be less and less. We will of course make page template changes to these as required by future Miva page template changes (new features,etc), but those are updates you already make to your store currently.
