    Additional Checkout fields

    Hi,
Is there a way in Miva to add additional checkout fields, or do you need to buy a module like addendum for this? We use Shipworks for shipping, and I am hoping there is a way to get the additional fields to Shipworks. They support the Sebenza Additional Checkout Data module, but it appears that this module is no longer available?

    Thank you

    Re: Additional Checkout fields

Miva has its own built in Additional Checkout fields called custom basket fields. They can be used to collect any data during checkout and saved with the order.

Here are a video/docs on how they work:

However I don't believe they currently sync with Shipworks. Shipworks supports a module called Addendum:

      Re: Additional Checkout fields

hint, hint, someone should contact shipworks about supporting custom basket/order fields cause that's what all the cool kids are doing these days (i.e., we are moving clients in that direction).

        Re: Additional Checkout fields

I had Sebenza Studios module for extra checkout data, but couldn't get it to work and this thread and especially the video link helped me to accomplish being able to allow customer to send a note with their order.
I do have a problem however, and I'm hoping someone will be able to guide me in the right direction for solving it.
The easiest way to explain it is to go to costumeshopper.com and put something in the basket. You'll see on the OCST page, "Enter any special notes" which is what the video helped me to do. My problem is the imput box next to it. It has "wildsyde" in it by default, and I'm not sure why. I've tried this from several computers and it still has that information in it.
Any clue why or how to fix it so there is nothing in the box?

Another question concerns Stone Edge's Order Manager, which we use. Do you know if these extra notes will import into Stone Edge and what I'd need to do to accomplish that? The Sebenza module imported the notes, but I'm not sure if this built in feature in Miva 9 allows the note field to be imported, and how I'd go about accomplishing that.

You guys have been great, an I just want to thank you all for making what seemed like an impossible task for a layman, possible. :-)

I need help getting some additional checkout fields to pull from Miva into ShipWorks. I used to use ACDC by Sebenza but that is outdated and will not be supported in MM9. I use addendum currently and would like to grab some additional text based fields. Can this be done??? Shipworks is still supporting the outdated Sebenza module but I really need help in getting the addendum working.

Shipworks has still not updated their software to allow basic text checkout information to be parsed over from Miva to SW. they still are just supporting Sebenza. I have contacted them several times regarding this and they just keep telling me they have forwarded this request to the software engineers...

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE report this issue to them if you are using shipworks!

image_1488.jpg I find it hilarious that they are supporting an obsolete module from long ago!
