Miva Mobile Service and How to Remove Categories

We signed up for the Miva mobile conversion service and need help making adjustments to the site. One thing that's happening is we have hidden categories on the desktop version of the website, but when it appears on mobile those hidden categories reappear (i.e., extra special, special, clearance).

Does anyone have any advice/suggestions for a quick fix to render these categories invisible again on mobile devices?

The mobile implementation uses the standard category tree to display the categories. You most likely have logic in your full site category tree which is hiding these categories. You'll need to add this same logic to the mobile category tree as well.

There should be a page called MOBILE_HEADER. In this page there logic to display the category tree. This is where you want to add your logic to hide the categories.
