encrypted email in ready theme?

I have the Suviant ready Theme on a site.
The bottom right corner of the footer has an automatically populated section for address and email.

The email address is encrypted.

- I think this is a great idea but...
1. clicking the link, and nothing happens.

Is there a javascript or something that goes with this? The link begins with "emailto:" as compared to "mailto:"
Is this correct?

I recall somewhere seeing a setting to enable / disable this but now I can not locate it.
Does this ability exist?

Hi William,

Thank you for finding this. That is a typo, it should be "mailto". That being said, since the email is encrypted, you would need to have a way to decrypt it for the application to read it. We will be releasing an update where, by default, this link will lead to the Contact Us page. Since different email applications can be troublesome when it comes to email links, this would make for a better user experience.

It looks like removing

&mvte:global:storeEmailB64;"rel="nofollow

and inserting the email address works.

Hi Carina,

The "Email Us" link in question is located in the Global Footer about half way down the page.
