    Suivant navigation layout

    Hi folks,

I'm working on a store using the Suivant theme, setting up a module to automatically load category data into a navigation set. We've been using the Mega-menu layout, but I want to try one of the others. Suppose I switch it to Horizontal Drop-down, and then change my mind and switch back. Will everything be the same as before, or are there some parts of the template or settings that will be reset to some other state, requiring extra work to get the menu back to its previous state?

    Thanks --

I just did a test and was able to switch between them without losing anything

        Re: Suivant navigation layout

OK, here's another question. The client wants a sort of combination of the Vertical and Horizontal layouts. They want a horizontal nav bar in the global header, with buttons that drop down a single column of links; and when you hover over one of those links, a menu of sub-links will fly out to the right. That's just for large screens; for small formats, it can use the standard Suivant design.

Has anyone done that? It should be do'able, but a lot of the coding for Suivant layouts seems to be in the CSS or JavaScript, or maybe even hard-coded in the ReadyThemes module. So I'm not sure where to begin, and I'm concerned about not breaking the small-format behavior. Hope someone has some advice?

        Thanks --

          Re: Suivant navigation layout

Follow-up: answered my own question. Later last night I realized that the Horizontal Drop-down layout does what I was looking for. Once I got enough data in there for three levels of categories, it provided flyouts for the sub-sub-cats. Nice!

I still need to make some changes to the appearance. I suppose this is all controlled by CSS? Can someone tell me how to edit this?

          Thanks --
