Is there an app or module to place a page loading animation icon on our merchant web pages. If not, can anyone point us to a how to guide. Our google research has not been successful with helping a novice programmer. Any help is much appreciated.

There are lots of resources online for this, like here: http://www.ajaxload.info/

Question, though, why do you need one? Your pages should load fast enough so no one needs to wait. Those animations are a turn off.

Also, if you need help with implementing something in Miva Merchant, try the "For Hire" section of this forum. 99.5% of those online development resources would have no idea how to do this inside of Miva Merchant.

Thanks all for the advice. I was only thinking of needing it when processing the order and calculating shipping charges. There seems to be some lead time there.

There is, but it should only be a few seconds and that's expected. Plenty of folk find those loading icons annoying. The browser already shows that something is loading. If the checkout is taking more than a few seconds, there's a lag with the payment gateway or other scripts.
