    Amazon Payment button

    I've added Amazon Payment to my Miva 9 online store. The Amazon Payment button automatically is added to Basket Content page. However, I would also like to add it to the Check Out page...listed together with all of the other payment plans we accept. I've checked all of the Amazon Payment "Items" but the button is not appearing on that page. Does anyone know how to add that button to that page? Can I use the same code that was added to the Basket Content page? Help!
    Thanks, Candy

    Re: Amazon Payment button

    Hello,

    You could put the button on any page you wish but you'll end up causing confusion for your customer. When you click on the button and login you end up going to through the Amazon checkout pages, AMAZONPAY_OCST, AMAZONPAY_OSEL, AMAZONPAY_OPAY, so you choose it on BASK and then go to AMAZONPAY_OCST -> AMAZONPAY_OSEL -> AMAZONPAY_OPAY. If you were to go through the normal OCST -> OSEL flow and then choose Amazon on OSEL you would then go back to AMAZONPAY_OCST when you've already been to OCST.

    So yes, you could add the button but it's probably not something you would want to do.

      When I added the Amazon Payment module, it automatically added a"Amazon Payments Sign-in Button" area to the Basket Content page. I can change the size of the button plus I can see the code that was automatically added (I didn't have to add any special code, it was already done). How do I get that added to the Check Out page area?

      Thanks, Candy

        Candy,

        You would need to copy the code and assign the items to those pages but because of the checkout flow issue I detailed in my last post I would not recommend doing so.

          We have PayPal setup on our Check Out page...wouldn't that work the same way as Amazon Payment? I certainly don't want to make it confusing for my customers. But I do think that showing Amazon Payment on the Basket Content page without any other payment options available to our customers, might be confusing too. We also have our coupon and gift certificate redemption area on our Check Out page... If we keep Amazon Payment on Basket Content page, our customers will not be able to redeem gift certificates. Please advise...
          Thanks, Candy

            No, PayPal doesn't have PayPal specific checkout pages the way Amazon does. With PayPal you choose it at OSEL, go to PayPal to login and return to OPAY. With Amazon you never leave the store.

            Yes, they will. Your customers stay on your store to checkout and can enter the gift certificate as they normally do.

            Maybe this will help;
