Can't seem to change ACED template

I'm trying to update the ACED Customer Edit Customer Fields template to use the Mode to Customer: Edit. It keeps resetting itself to Customer: Legacy Add/Edit. This is, of course, in conflict with the ACAD Customer Create which is in the Customer: Add Mode.

On a similar note, why can't the email address be used for the Login when attempting to Add Customer when trying to set up a customer in the store admin? I understand that behind the scenes the portion of the email address that is before the @ symbol is being turned into the login, but it's confusing to a store owner who may not know this and only knows that a customer uses their email address as part of their login.

quick check...try setting the ACED Customer Edit Customer Fields template back to original and then try changing the Mode. If that works, you have a compiler error in the current template that is preventing compilation but not reporting it (it happens once in while).

I think that got it. Thanks!
