Out of Stock Inventory Variants Question

I noticed recently on one of our suppliers web site that when a inventory variant (miva terminology) is out of stock and unable to order the variant shows but is grayed out and is unable to be selected for order. Does miva offer this type of functionality?

Absolutely. Miva allows you to track inventory down to the attribute level. Miva does it slightly differently. Instead of graying out the option, you have the two options:

1. Leave it and let the customer choose it and get an out of stock message
2. Hide it from the attribute list completely

This setting is controlled by the Out of Stock Setting under Inventory. However you will first need to setup inventory variants to use this:

But the greying out feature is available with custom code if that's what you really want. We had it done in our store.

Is it possible to add "Out of Stock" next to the variant option in the drop down instead of hiding it?
