I'm giving this one last effort before I switch to the Marketing Coupon function. Store is need to prevent a Fixed Value coupon being used when specific products are added to the basket. Since there are so many product codes that are not eligible to use the coupon code, the wildcard capability is being used. If one of the excluded products is in the basket by itself the coupon code is rejected at checkout as expected. When a product that can use the coupon is added the basket, the coupon is accepted at checkout. Unfortunately, that is not the behavior the store owner is trying to achieve. The coupon code needs to be rejected if any of the excluded products are in the basket. The store owner has tried configuring the coupon with all of the eligible products in the Eligible Product field and has also tried using the minus sign in front of all the products to exclude. The results are the same. The "Apply % Discount Only to the Above" has been checked but I'm thinking it should not have an affect since the coupon is not a percentage off coupon.

Re: Coupon Redemption not excluding
The exclude capability has been that way for years. If any eligible product is in the basket, the coupon is applied. Having an ineligible does not negate the coupon usage. That works just like going to the grocery store to redeem a coupon. Where you are running into trouble is by making it fixed price. You need to prorate the coupon based on the sum of the eligible products in the basket. Hence, you must use a percent off coupon; i.e. not fixed.Bill Weiland - Emporium Plus http://www.emporiumplus.com/store.mvc
