Hello forum:
We get calls from potential customers for shipping quotes on products that the customer may want to purchase from our site. To create that shipping quote, we fill a basket with the items that the customer is interested in, then run a shipping quote so we can respond to the customer with the shipping cost. We want to streamline this as follows:
1. customer calls and we add to our workstation's basket the items they are interested in.
2. We run a shipping quote and get the shipping cost.
3.we use a new (this is what is needed) save the basket function on BASK which sends an email to the customer and ourselves, showing the basket's contents and the shipping cost. The email contains a unique link (unique to this basket) that will restore the basket for our customers or ourselves.
Then 4 or 5 happens:
4. The customer can then use the link on the email to go to OCST and complete checkout themselves.
OR
5. The customer calls and wants to complete the purchase over the phone. We use the email link to go to OCST, complete OCST, thru INVC and complete the purchase for the customer.
Problem is that we cannot create unique baskets from our workstation. How can this be accomplished?
Thanks, Larry
