    Misc Fees and Attribute Options

Trying to make it as complicated as possible...

We sell custom imprinted pens, pencils etc.

    1. We offer a Rush option for $0.05 per piece if the customer orders over a certain quantity.
    2. If they order below that quantity then the Rush option is a $25 flat fee.

We use the Misc Fee module for the $25 flat fee based on attribute selection for low quantity, and the Attribute Option Price for the $0.05 per piece fee for larger quantity. We use some javascript foo to show/hide the options based on quantity entered.

Everything works great, accept for when someone orders a couple different items in a low quantity. The misc fee module will only apply the fee once per applicable order or once per applicable product. Once per order only charges $25, once per applicable product charges $25 per line item quantity. Neither of these really options work in my case. I need to apply the fee once per line item.

I can't think of a way to make this work out of the box, or with a module. It may require a custom module.

    Any Thoughts?

I'm not sure if this will help, but my note in the change log in the module's code is
    29 Jan 2013 - 5.0070 - each line item type added
What version of miscfee are you using?

      Hey Bill,

My version is 5.003. I did see this on the miva app store; 3) applied for each time a fee associated product is counted in the basket. I do have the option for "Each Applicable Product", I wasn't sure if these were different features. I tested the option that I have, I had 2 different items in my cart, 2 of each. It applied the fee 4 times, total quantity in the cart was 4.

I'll get the updated version and give that a whirl.

      Thank You!

Re: Misc Fees and Attribute Options

I purchased and downloaded the module from the Miva app store. "Order Number is: 95972". Website shows Version 5.007.

The version I downloaded and installed was Version 5.006?

Are you sure you clicked the Update button after you uploaded the file?

Check with Brennan at Miva. The file miscfee.mvc they got back in 2013 was dated 1/29/2013. What date does your file show?

I tried to look for the module on the domain https://www.giggletimetoys.com but that appears to be a php store.

Re: Misc Fees and Attribute Options

The file I downloaded is dated 8/12/2012.

It's a Miva store. It used to be php, so I kept the extension... The site I just installed this on is http://www.gpencil.com/.

Example product I'm trying to get this function working for: http://www.gpencil.com/product/PAINTED.php

Also used to be a php site...

Check with Brennan. They may have uploaded an older version to the Miva apps store.

Re: Misc Fees and Attribute Options

Brennan got me sorted out with v5.007. It also has the feature I need, "Each Applicable Line Item".

                Thank You!
