I want a new database for my html emails

Hello forum:
I want to store my shipping confirmation/invoice email on a separate MYSQL database.
Looking for advice regarding security & other concerns for this new database which will be used by my PHP programs.

PHP would be used to both store the emails from our Miva shipping email template and PHP would be used to display the emails in the customer's browser via a link included on our Miva shipping email.
Can this be done under my site's domain or do I need a new domain and possibly a new host? What are the security issues for my site if I create the new database in the Miva dashboard for this?

Looking for advice and best practices ideas.

Never mind. Appears I can do what I want by creating a new email for our invoice.
