Color me overly confused. I'm looking for a better understanding of what the checkbox Limit Shipping Methods and the Permitted Shipping Methods checkboxes do and which combinations need to be checked. Does Limit Shipping Methods have to be checked if you need to select certain methods for a product? What happens if you just check Limit Shipping Methods and not check and methods? What happens if you check just the methods to "permitted"?

Re: Checking Limit Shipping Methods and/or Permitted Shipping Methods
My understanding is that both need to be checked. If you tell miva to limit shipping options but you don't indicate which (limited) shipping methods are available for that product, then no shipping methods will be available for that order at checkout and presumably you'd fall into your fallback method.
If you choose what limited methods you want but don't check "Limit Shipping Methods" then miva will simply "remember" what limited options you have setup for that product, but won't enforce it.
I have many shipping questions I've been waiting a very long time to get answered. We need a shipping module support group. :-)
