    Coupon Problem - Basket Discount Didn't Subtract

    Here's a weird one. A customer placed an order and used a $10 coupon, but he got charged as though no coupon was applied.

    See my attached screen shots.
    1. Subtotal is $440.50
    2. Final total with coupon is $430.50
    3. CC authorized & captured for $440.50


    What happened and how do I fix it?

    What method did they use to Pay? Paypal, Credit Card, etc (which gateway)

    Is there a chance the coupon got applied after the order was placed (via the admin) Can you check the confirmation email you got to see if the coupon was applied?

      Thanks for the reply.

      It turns out that this was an order that one of our guys took over the phone. He applied the coupon after authorizing the payment --- a little detail I didn't know about!

      Anyway, it seems this was just a procedural error, not a software error.
