    Hi,
    I am using MM: v4.22 / MVM: v4.1400
OpenUI: [4.955/4.984] on all my stores but one and it is uncompiled. =
Can I install an older version of VM in order to get the older store to =
work? And if I do, should I use the same directories for both versions? =
Will there be a conflict? Then I can upgrade the old store to Merchant =
4.22 and delete the old VM. Or is there a way to do a fresh install of =
4.22 and import the old data into it? =20
    Thanks in advance,
    Pete

    Pete,

Our dedicated box at DataPipe runs both version. Part of it involves
getting the Apache directives setup for both. Some of the hosts might
have clearer instructions for you. If it's not your own box, check with
    your host.

Unfortunately an uncompiled store requires the Empresa
version 3, not the VM which started with version 4 for
compiled stores. Empresa 3 must be licensed from Miva
but your host may have it available for you. If you=20
have your own server and need a license, we can sell
you one. An alternative would be to use Miva Mia, a
software package which lets you run your store on your
own computer; you could use Mia just for the purposes
of upgrading the store to the 4.2x version and then
you could avoid buying/installing Empresa 3 just for
      upgrading.

        Hi all,
Thanks for all the responses. The store in question is version 4.13
uncompiled. Do I still need to go back to the old Empresa? I have a
        license already.

        Thanks again,
        Pete

Actually, if all you want to do is upgrade the store,
just having the Merchant 4.13 files present on the server is
all you need; 4.24 will read the old databases during
the upgrade but you don't have any need to actually
run the old store so I was incorrect, you don't
need Empresa 3 or Miva Mia at all, just load the files
to the server, extract Merchant 4.24 and the MivaVM, and
          then run the upgrade.mvc file.
